Spring colours come to the city! R&H’s wedding at The Shack Revolution!

lgbtq+ couple stop for a kiss during their confetti run on their wedding day at the shack revolution

Y’all know already that I absolutely LOVE The Shack Revolution and i’m very lucky that I get to photograph multiple weddings there a year. 2025 certainly was a busy year for Shack weddings and it all kicker off in Spring with H&R and their super colourful celebration! You also probably know that i’m a bit of a yapper so i’ll try and keep it brief this time and let you enjoy the glorious-ness that is this wonderful colourful wedding!

Rosie & Heather kept it easy, breezy beautiful with their celebration which was perfectly suited to their venue and even through it was in March, the weather was very bloody kind! Allowing us all plenty of chill time to mingle in that fabulous court yard. Before the big day, myself and the girls chatted about how they wanted to keep everything casual and candid, so whilst they got ready together I focused on what they couldn’t be there to see - all those great guest moments and the decor they had worked so hard on.

The ceremony was no different, beautifully relaxed. One interesting difference that I hadn’t seen before was that R&H had arranged their legal ceremony followed by a blessing from their friend acting celebrant! What a brilliant idea right?! All the legals checked off whilst also having that more personalised & unique content you get with a celebrant - it can be done!

Of course being colour lovers, the ceremony was finalised with a BIG flurry of confetti and the afternoon was all about celebrating in that mild spring sunshine with nibbles and bubbles (they even did speeches outside which worked great, just so you know 😉)

Finally, one of my favourite parts - the dance floor! And with Heathers Scottish heritage it could only mean one thing. A Ceilidh! I’ve photographed several Ceilidh’s now and it’s NEVER a bad idea! Always sure to get guests on their feet, get you plenty of dance floor photos, lots of laughter and lots of memories…just make sure you have plenty of space! 😂
