Elder Emo Wedding At Lyde Court - Paige & Fletch!

Tattooed bride and groom share a first dance at lyde court complete with confetti canons

PHEW!

It has been a hot minute since my last blog post (apologies) but wedding season has certainly taken the reigns this last few months. As you can imagine, I have a list as long as my arm of glorious weddings to share with you all. Especially since the website upgrade and blogs are a little thin on the ground. Despite how epic 2025 has been i’m still going to stay strong and catch up with 2024 posts of weddings I found super fun, creative and hopefully for you - inspirational!

August last year kicked off with Paige & Fletch who’s elder emo wedding at Lyde Court was a flippin’ VIBE! These two are were all about having a good time and making great memories that felt like “them”, and they wanted their big day to feel like one massive party with their favourite people—which, spoiler alert, they totally nailed!

The wedding took place at this gem called Lyde Court in Hereford. Just the right mix of alt vs rustic. The ceremony was in the Hop Barn, which was a perfect little setting, all decked out with gorgeous black and white floral arrangements and candles. Right after the "I do's," everyone spilled out onto the lawn for drinks, and getting silly on the bouncy castle! It was the heart of the party, and the perfect candid moment creator! The kids loved it and I think maybe nan loved it more?!

P&F did the best thing for any wedding - they planned in plenty of time! It felt relaxed and they had time to grab all the photos they wanted as well as actually enjoy their drinks reception. That extra time for photos gave us the opportunity to get creative, to play and to make more memories during the process - check out those group shots, some of my all time faves!

As you can imagine, all that bouncing worked up an appetite, the afternoon rolled on with dinner and speeches filled with laughs and a few tears, followed by surprise singing waiters who had everyone in up on their feet! After that, the party took a spontaneous turn with an impromptu disco, which you know I was there for, capturing all the dance moves and antics.

After all that dancing, timing was running over a smidge but hey - you know me weddings should definitely be less panic more disco so I was all for it. And it was an elder emo wedding after all! We only needed a quick 15 to smash couples photos anyway and the couples son joined us for some cute family pics too. We all hopped into a golf buggy (who knew a golf buggy could be so romantic?) and before long we zoomed back to the party because, honestly, who can stay away from good music and fun?

On return things got even better - and sparklier, when Paige changed into this glittery & feathery sequin dress that reflected the fabulousness of the night. With her bridal party cheering her on everyone was ready for cake cutting sparklers and confetti on the dance floor, a beautiful way to wrap up such an energetic day.

I absolutely LOVE capturing wedding like this. Ones where couples personalities shine through, everyone can just let loose, and embrace spontaneity! You end up with something truly unique and unforgettable!
