Colourful Halloween inspired wedding at The Mount Without, Bristol

Step into spooky season with this gothic, halloween inspired wedding at The Mount Without in Bristol. Clarisse & Richard created a classic, yet colourful gothic vibe by utilising the venues already gothic charm. They added plenty of colour pops with purple, red and green showing up great amongst their wardrobe and decor - It was bloody delicious! (Pun not intended) Everything you need for a Halloween wedding without to much cheese. Think ceramic pumpkins, tattoo stations, neon lights and frickin’ bats - I love Halloween!

I first met Clarisse and Richard at The big Welsh wedding fair in Cardiff just over a year before their big day and we instantly clicked, bonding over our mutual love of spooky sh*t. As a colourful photographer, some folks can sometimes struggle to see how that would fit into a predominantly darker colour palette but these guys could see how my approach to weddings suited them as people and how a Halloween inspired vibe can really pop with the right colour palette!

After getting ready locally in Bristol city centre I hot footed it over to The Mount Without ready for their celebrant led ceremony which was so perfectly designed around our couple, filled with wonderful stories about their relationship, celebrations including their family, such as a hand fasting including Richard's children and Clarisse's grandmother. They even had their ceremony in English AND Portuguese for the brides family!

Post ceremony we celebrate with confetti (obvs) and drinks in the crypt. The guys included so many great touches suited to both them and their Halloween vibes. Spooky decor, temporary tattoos, games consoles, a dinosaur scavenger hunt and who doesn't love a neon light!

Their day was all about being cosy, comfortable and including the elements that made them feel their best. Even into the evening they kept it chill and totally them by sacking off a loud dance floor for more games and acoustic entertainment. Spooky, beautiful & chilled! This is what I mean when I say your wedding and your photos should totally feel like you! 🖤
