COLOUR, FUN AND WHIMSY! E&T’S wedding celebration at Mounton Brook Lodge!
Well, I'm back! It's September and that means it's time to get back on the blog posts after the summer rush! (Which actually wasn't that much of a rush this year thanks to a nice evening spreading of weddings throughout the year, but still, people bloody love an august wedding don't they!?)
2026 will go down as one of my favourite years of shooting weddings ever I think. The vibes have been colossal and I feel so bloody lucky to be chosen by all these excellent couples to photograph their weddings. Today I want to share the gorgeously colourful celebration of Tyler & Evie, two fun loving queens who incorporated simple yet effective vibrant decorations, high energy and a serious can-do attitude! It was so much fun to spend time with pair and their family and friends and to top it all off, Helen (break every chain) was on video! She's my fave!
It was my first time at Mounton Brook Lodge, despite only living 15 minutes down the road. And with big lush accommodation right next door, it was an instant big tick from me! Throwing dated traditions out the window, the pair decided to get ready together with their families seeing as they do everything else together anyway! They did decide to pop their dresses on separately though so they could have that little "wow" moment with each other.
Once suited and booted (no heels today, comfort is key) the gals made their entrance in to their ceremony, filled with heart felt readings and some very special mentions for T's son - not a dry eye in the house, I tell yer! Sealing their union with a very victorious smooch, our newly weds led a procession of their guests outside for one of my favourite confetti moments ever!! I may have said it's a good idea to order more than you need but I'm pretty sure T&E ordered three times the amount! It was GLORIOUS!! But it was also everywhere, I'm still finding it in pockets to this day, 6 months later!
Even during the group shots, everyones energy was sky high, enjoying the spring sunshine and letting themselves embrace the festivities of the day. By now y'all must know I love a bit of DIY decor and this wedding had a great selection of personalised touches that added to the occasion. Custom jackets, name cards written out by T's little boy, edible favours and ribbons on everything! I'll never have a bad word to say about a ribbon!
Food and speeches complete we even bagged ourselves a successful golden hour of frolicking through the nearby fields before the DJ was ready to get the party started! As mine and Helen's evening drew to a close we left the girls dipping and twerking their way into the night. And I thought I had a lot of energy!
Thanks for a spectacular wedding my dudes!
