Colourful barn wedding at Naas Court Farm Featuring Loly-Poly the pug!
So I think it's time that I introduce to some of the best people I've ever met - Cherry and Josh, their amazing families and of course, Lola the Pug!
These guys got married last year in an absolute colour explosion! And you know me, relaxed barn + DIY colourful decorations + a playful couple who aren't afraid to be silly = my idea of a perfect wedding!!
Getting ready separately, myself and video extroidanair Helen of Break every chain decided to head to Josh first on the way to Naas Court. He was getting ready with his brother's and groomsmen and the sun was shining as we arrived. With a bit of a squish squash squeeze we decided that four guys, a photographer and a videographer was a great set up for a joke but not so much for great photos so we made use of the sunshine and headed outside. Finishing touches all set and gifts given we waved the guys off and went on our way to Cherry’s nans house for some bridal prep. Remember when I said these are some of the best people ever? Honestly - the whole family is just such a joy to be around! Playful, jovial and all the right emotions to make for some beautiful & memorable moments.
Finally it was ceremony time and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Conducted under the open barn, it made for the perfect spot to capture all those beautiful faces and emotions and a great space for an easy flow out into the courtyard for confetti and pina coladas! The rest of the day as you can imagine, was spent full of hijinx and frolicking under blue skies. As Cherry is well versed in event management she had planned the perfect about of time for both photos and relaxed time before we all sat down to dinner.
Can we talk for a hot min about their decorations?! So simple and so effective - I BLOODY LOVE A RIBBON! Seriously, if you’re ever in doubt, put a ribbon on it. Words to live by! And their table cards adding a homage to their favourite movies - perf!
The balmy summer evening led us into fun speeches and more frolicking in the sun (even a golden hour, hooray!) Before long it was time to hit the dance floor with all the joy and enthusiasm that had been with us all day. Tell me whats not to love about this amazing day?! I dare you!
