Have yourself a Merry Cardiff Christmas wedding!
Some weddings are planned over years.
Others come together in just over a month, and somehow feel even more intentional because of it. Sarah and Evan’s wedding day was exactly that. Thoughtful, cosy, intimate, emotional - in reality, all the things that are truly important.
Held at the beautiful Insole Court in Cardiff, their day proved that it’s not about timelines or ticking boxes, it’s about the people, the connection, and the moments that really matter. Insole Court was the perfect choice for Sarah and Evan. Elegant without being stuffy, welcoming without trying too hard, it suited the tone of their day perfectly. Their ceremony was small and intimate, surrounded by a carefully chosen group of family and friends who truly mean the world to them.
S&E may have planned their wedding quickly, but nothing about it felt rushed. It felt honest and grounded, a day focused on commitment, connection, and the people they hold closest.
After the ceremony, celebrations continued with a beautifully relaxed meal at Tom by Tom Simmons - which can I say, was flippin’ delicious as well as being a perfect spot for them. The settling, like their ceremony was cosy, Christmassy and full of conversation and laughter. Sharing food with a small group of loved ones has a way of slowing time down, and that’s exactly what this meal did. It was all about good food, good company, and soaking up important memories of the day.
And then… the vibe shifted (in the best way).
As evening rolled in, celebrations moved to The Underdog in Cardiff, where things became louder, livelier, and full-on celebratory. Friends joined, music filled the space, and the energy lifted into something bolder and joyful. I’m so glad the day had gone so well for them, that after the speed in which everything came together, they had been able to slow down and take in every inch of their hard work and now they could celebrate their marriage with all the big hugs, belly laughs and spicy margs.
Of course every wedding day is important, but it’s days like this one that really hammers home the reminder of why documenting weddings is such a privilege. Being invited into something so personal, so emotional, and so full of love is never something I take lightly. Sarah and Evan, thank you for trusting me with your story. Your day was cosy, powerful, and unforgettable — and it was truly an honour to be a part of it. 💛
